Vaughn sitting on the floor in the living room, rebuilding her Lego tower. When Dash totters over and knocks it down again, she turns to him and says, “You're a monster, Dashiell. You're the god of grief.”
My poems have appeared in six books (most recently, Wahoo Sunset, 2019) and in journals such as Court Green, Failbetter, Mudlark, and New York Quarterly.
