Can't say that I'm surprised that duncebrow won the election, but, damn, to win the pop vote by 3.5 million, it's just sad. An embarrassing day to be an American. The corporate theocracy empire is rolling up its sleeves (having spread our working-class cheeks). Worse, though, is the gaining of Republican seats in the House and Senate — can't wait till my social security gets pumped into the stock market so fat cats paying no taxes can pile up more buckaroos. I can't even think about it, the state of the union, literally a sick feeling all through work today. ..... So, what's good about America? Well, for just under $4 you can pick up a kick-ass collection of poetry, one of the best books in recent years, Kevin Young's JELLY ROLL: A Blues. Bush actually said today that we will continue our progress with the economy? And people cheered! How the fuck do you figure lost jobs and lower wages for progress? And Kerry in his speech calls for the country to unite now — forget class, race, and sexuality inequalities — unite anyway, because we're losing a war we shouldn't be fighting in the first place and so, well, we need to be united. Say what?
"The New American Economy: A Wal-Mart job for everyone!"
Fuck You.
